How to get to Kiel from Hamburg Airport
The closest airport to Kiel is Hamburg international airport, 95 km south of Kiel. If landing in Hamburg, the most convenient way to travel to Kiel is by bus, minibus or train.
- The KIELIUS airport shuttle coaches stop right outside of terminal 1 in Hamburg and take you to the main train station in Kiel in appr. 90 minutes. There is no need to make a reservation. A one-way ticket is 20,50 €, a return ticket 36 €. There is a 25% Bahncard discount and Rail&Fly tickets are accepted. - The KielExx (website only available in German) minibusses are a bit pricier and faster and bring you directly to your hotel (30,90 € one way). To garantee a seat you have to make a phone reservation in advance.
